After studying electrical engineering at Purdue University, Steve worked for several years in radio broadcasting as a disk jockey, news reporter and FCC licensed engineer. Working for the Nightingale-Conant Corporation, he produced syndicated radio programming and later became a regional sales manager for the firm. Mr. King joined a friend to build an audio recording studio and then went on to manage that business. Oscar Peterson, Paul McCartney’s band Wings, The Ohio Players, Chaka Kahn, blues legend Willie Dixon, and Jerry Butler were just a few of the hundreds of bands that became clients. Mr. King then returned to performing, this time as a free-lance actor and voice-over artist. Most everyone has heard his voice on the airwaves. Buick, Kellogg’s cereals, V-8 Vegetable Juice, John Deere, Maytag, Monsanto, and Gatorade are among the many sponsors who have cast Steve in their commercials. Steve has also appeared in motion pictures and entertainment television programs. Movies include U.S. Marshals, The Babe, the Babe Ruth Story, and The Ice Harvest. Television series performances include The Untouchables, Early Edition, Missing Persons and Jack and Mike.
